The Highest Level of Athletics, Brought Local
While being a quarterback for the University of Nebraska football team after setting numerous high school football records, Matt Masker became an expert in player development and is now excited to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of football players in central Nebraska. In high school, Matt helped Kearney Catholic High School to three Class C-1 playoff appearances, including semifinal berths in 2014 and 2016. A two-time all-state selection, Matt made the Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska second team as a senior. In his career, Matt threw for more than 7,000 yards with a 63.4 percent completion rate and 86 touchdowns. As a senior, Matt threw for 2,506 yards and 25 touchdowns, while rushing for 341 yards and six scores. As a junior in 2016, he compiled 2,717 passing yards and 36 touchdowns. In 2015, Masker threw for 1,724 yards and 24 touchdowns. Following his prep career, Matt represented the South Squad in the 2018 Nebraska Shrine Bowl. While in college, Matt was exposed to high level coaching and player development techniques, as he made the travel roster for multiple games throughout his career.
Masker Football Academy focuses on teaching techniques that will help athletes — at any level — form positive habits that will allow them to continue to improve themselves long after they have graduated from Matt’s camp.
